ASORN Recommended Practices

Recommended practices are published documents that provide technical guidance, philosophy or preferred procedures regarding a given topic. ASORN currently has one finalized recommended practice and one in development. Questions about ASORN's recommended practices should be directed to the Ask an Expert function.

Policy Statements

Policy statements are designed to make known an organization's position on an issue, and to educate and provide guidance on issues of concern. ASORN directs their members and customers from the ophthalmic community to the Policy Statements from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
